1982 - My Very First Cake

My very first cake was created in December 1982 for a very dear friend, Nicole to whom I pay a special tribute. She had asked me to surprise her kids for Xmas.

This 3D cake was made with very limited resources. At the time there were no sphere moulds, fondant, ganache and italian meringue buttercream It took me nearly all day cooking in a very small kitchen and with a portable oven and raking my brain on how to make it look like the real snowman. The end product was amazing and the kids could not believe how this cake looked and stood up like a real snowman.
